ASHES ON THE WAVES

As the sun sets on the horizon's edge
Darkness wraps the world in its embrace
I stand alone on the sandy shore
Listening to the gentle rhythm of the waves

It will be the last time that I hold you close to me
You were of beauty and splendor 
With a smile that made a rose look simple 
Even the angles looked at you in awe and wonder.

Now, at the river's edge, I stand alone
With my eternal love in the form of ashes
Being poured on the waves of the endless sea
A testimony of our unwavering love, eternally.

As the salty air whispers secrets untold
Your ashes dance and sway on the waves before my eyes 
Carrying memories of days long past
But leaving behind a love that will forever last.

Ashes on the waves, carried by the tide
A memory of the past, of love that once died.
Each wave that crashes upon the sand caresses my emotions 
Like the touch of your hands and deep devotion.

As long as the sea survives and the waves follow the tides 
Deep in the Reservoir of my heart, your love remains alive
