Poem -

I was

I was so tired
That when I closed my eyes

I couldn't see the light

Above my head

Through closed lids.

I'd fallen fast asleep.

The next morning in the shop

'How much is the hat?'

I said I wanted to feel like I was getting a deal.

The people in the shop were like

'Did you know he plays guitar

And writes poetry?'

My only regret,

I couldn't let my hair out of a ponytail

Or grow a bushey one.

Well I too love hats, this is rock star status the shopkeeper knew who you were and all you were thinking is how you wish your hair would grow. Brilliant 🌹
