Poem -

In The Echo Of Your Absence

Don’t drift away, whispers the breeze,
a plea concealed in every piece.
You are the heartbeat that steadies my soul,
the broken compass still guiding me whole.

When I see you, time dares to freeze,
and the cruelest world softens with ease.
But if you leave, my spirit will shatter,
a shipwreck lost in a sea that won’t matter.

You are my shelter in nights so bleak,
the balm for the wars that silence can’t speak.
Without you, the moon hides, weeping in pain,
and the sun may rise, but it trembles in vain.

Don’t drift away, I beg of you,
without your warmth, I wouldn’t make it through.
You are my north, my south, my reason, my air,
the rhythm of life in a heart laid bare.

If one day you choose to part,
take my words, and don’t leave my heart.
For even in sorrow, my soul would persist,
forever yours, wherever you exist.
