Poem -

The Light

Battered bulbs took turns to burn
the eyes that yearned for scattered rays.
And through the tears that followed near,
the wanderer's pain had come to stay.

For heads had turned too many times,
to keep the biased thoughts at bay.
And left alone, he was, to find
the words he knew not how to say.

Until, that is, one fateful day...
when by his side hope failed to stray.
And through new eyes our wanderer shined
and found the light to guide his way.

And though all sparks must disembark,
the one that made it all okay,
will guide him still throughout his days:
the light that lives within our J.
