Tears Ín The Rain

Tears Ín The Rain

Hello—
here I am once more,

scribbling down useless words,

telling a story nobody wants to hear.

Holding back tears

as all my demons break free,

and every breath escapes me—

can’t you see my pain?

Words slip through trembling hands,

grief swallows me whole.

I try to hold on,

cradle this damaged heart

with a comfort I can’t feel.

Inspiration bleeds out of me—

who could understand

this kind of ache?

I want to end it all

and yet—

some buried shard of strength

keeps me crawling forward.

But who do I pray to

when even the silence turns its back?

Where do I fix my stare

when the stars feel dead,

when hope is a word I can’t say aloud?

I’m tired—

tired of fake smiles

and the weight of "you’ll be fine."

Look at me—

just look—

trying to hide my tears in the rain,

pretending the sky weeps for me

so no one else has to.
