Poem -

Second Chance

Part 2

Did you feel it?
when I slipped your palms.
Did you realize it?
When I used your blind spots
To escape your cold hands
And the nonchalant looking eyes
was I that wretched
was I that unattractive
A slave to call when you need?
A face to satisfy society?

Did you notice it?
When there was an added taste
Did you smell it?
when there was a new scent
The wine of my lover
And the brand of his soap
Am I now the lady you knew
Am I now the world you crave
A queen of you castle?
A mother to your children?

Well cry me a river
In fact
cry me the deep blue sea
Even if you
cry me your very blood
A chance
I deeply doubt
