Poem -

Those gypsies and there tambourines

Those gypsies and there tambourines

Deep in the woods by the river
The moon is full and the campfire
Is going  the gypsies are singing
And dancing around the fire
Oh, those gypsies and their tambourines

Down by the river across
The railroad tracks are
those gypsies and their
tambourines as they sing
song called karpatz the
song of the Bears
Those gypsies and their tambourines

The gypsies caravan riding along
The back roads just like
A circus And playing their
Tambourines, singing, along
The way they say those gypsies
Have quite a life
Oh Those gypsies and their tambourines.

Some days I wouldn't mind joining them, they are most intriguing and I have no doubt some have special gifts and sensibility to the dead. Must be rather interesting on a stormy night 🤣 🌹

Being Me

"Gypsies, tramps and thieves..."  I love that song. Your poem, here, has remided me of the song. The caravans, the circus, the tambourines. I can imagine the dancing around the fire. Lovely! Its lovely, Greg x

Greg, I just finished reading your poem, and I really love it. You’ve got such a vivid way of painting scenes — I can almost hear the crackling fire and the lively tambourines as you describe the gypsies’ journey. The repetition of “those gypsies and their tambourines” really emphasizes their free-spirited, carefree lifestyle, and it’s infectious.
What I like most is how your words create a sense of movement and rhythm, almost like a song itself. The way you describe the caravan riding along the back roads like a circus captures that wild, adventurous spirit perfectly. It’s a simple poem but full of life and color, and it makes me think about the freedom of wandering and living outside the rules. You really have a knack for bringing scenes to life with just a few words. Can’t wait to see what you write next!

Greg coming from you that is a real compliment thank you this poem. I did a lot of research on gypsies in the beginning and in the middle of the poem. I also did more research about songs that gypsies would sing and towards the end. I also did research on gypsies I kind of fell in love with gypsies. I may just listen to some more music thank you so much for reading and liking this poem I did not think at first it was that good, but as I see, it is so thank you again. I don’t know when my next poem will be in a be about
