Under rainbows
Revised

You make me want to be sweet with you.
We'd make love and you'd never come
But you would know I loved you.
You make cows browse the meadows
Under rainbows ravens score
Cloud cover till the rain wears you again
Like a well tailored suit, fit for a funeral.
You're the single flower in a field not tended
to
And the belly up side of a love of mine died
Years ago renewed.
You're somehow special at the same time
Being the same old you.

This is raw especially your first stanza, love is everything love can be nothing, completely chaotic yet we go back to it even when we know it's a love that's stood still and simply can't move forward. Wow Rory, this is inspiring, your title is super, it's tender and holds hope. I'm emotionally attached to every line. Kudos, you have written from somewhere incredibly deep. 🌹
I'll confess, I only ever wanted to be a poet.
I remember nothing else I ever wanted to do.
Never known another to say that,
Though I've known a few who would probably
Share my desire.
