Poem -

Magnolia

The magnolia peels back
The Earth it grows out of.

It neverminds the frost

Of the passed winters

It has suffered.

The magnolia's beauty astounds.

It doesn't care for the dying

State of greyer counterparts.

Lovers care if their

Accomplishments shine brighter

Than others.

The magnolia recognises neither.

The magnolia shows me

The water I might drink

Can burst into colour

And that a seed can be

The promise of a flower

The magnolia is better of dancing,

Even when the music

That first erupted

Finally falls silent.
