Poem -

The man who went in search of immortality

It was the closest I'd been in love
For near ten years.

Back South at home without me

The dew on the grass grew old.

My sails blew in a current of air

Not known to her.

Death, it seemed, was tabu.

Other forms of life seemed plausible.

She wants what's well

In a way she thought I didn't know.

I was further away than she might tell

In the search for immortality.

This is like the back page of a great novel, what a story to be told. Beautiful, intriguing and mysterious. 🌹

You have the knack of writing really deep thoughts and musings in such a detached and offhand way. I love that x
