Poem -

God in the crib

Will one day I marry?
There are many

But who's right for you?

Ā

Will that day come soon?

Might the branches of trees

Extend their luxury?

Ā

And as for the sky,

Hasn't it always been shy

And the birds more silenced

Ā

Than you'd like?

The cars just hiss by.

The streets are dangerous at night

Ā

And I am God in the crib

In the circle of life.
Ā

If I was God my first line of response would be

don't bother 🤣

It's a romanticism and marriage is really complex if you haven't literally married your soulmate then you almost certainly will at some time in the marriage regret it. It takes two people truly in sync for it to become and orchestra of dreams. Sorry to dampen the romanticism but what I say is true, I wish someone would have said this to me. 🌹

That sense of humour is a bit on the dark side. I'll let you in a secret, I've got dark humour alsoĀ
And if we're god, I wouldn't bother either.

Some beautiful lines create a feeling of Yearning throughout this write R. Last two lines shout the uniqueness of Rory. x
