Today We Live

We are born from the oceans and the seas,
we transform into ashes, then wash back to the sea,
With clenched hands we implore for more…
More life and more time!
Tomorrow the skies turn dark,
and we rage, rage with burning eyes,
holding dearly, clinging to this thing called life,
till’ the time we go back into the ocean’s arms.
Today we rage, rage, and beseech for
more life and a little more time,
We dearly hold on,Â
as we are not ready yet for the waters,
Today we want the light!

Hey Marion, back to you…..💕💕💕
Classic sounding, B.
Â
Hi Rory! “Classic sounding” sounds very good to me. Cheers!Â
After thoughtÂ
When is classical ever bad.
Oxymoron? Â
Oxymoron? You could say that. And I would say…
Your review is “awfully good”. Okay, all said & done, thank you Rory for taking the time to send me your (always lovely) thoughts.Â
A rich tapestry of a poem. Love the repetition of rage. Rage, rage ... it sets the poems tone beautifully x
Thank you kindly, Being Me. Your words are heartwarming,
IÂ am always happy receiving your thoughts.Â
Stay well, Tina. Â BÂ
