Poem -

When Tears Dissipate with the Mist

When Tears Dissipate with the Mist

The morning mist conceals his tears,
They are not pains from the passions of love
or the absence of love. Not today!
Today he’s lost in yesterday’s tearsĀ
and weeps for what could have been.
His steps are heavy, as if he wants
to crush the regrets that sit tight in the chest,
but instead, he turns aroundĀ
and wipes the tears
with the sleeves of his fresh ironed shirt.
The mist dissipates and brings clarity,
and he knows the sun will shine once again.
Perhaps not today.Ā

It’s so kind of you, John. Visiting and leaving such a lovely comment. Yes, we need to be optimistic. Without hope, one wouldn’t even get out of bed in the morning.Ā
Take care, Ā BĀ

Filled with sadness but also tinged with promise .. I imagine and hope the old fella will rise up again like the poetic phoenix he has already begun to become in these tired old blue eyes of mine .. NevilleĀ

Hello and good evening to you Bernadette and thank you for writing and sharing your poem of, dare I say one's resilience through adversity.
Which we all go through at one time or another..
It is so beautifully worded and effortlessly flows along life's myriad emotions path for the buoyancy of hope and optimism to shine through, elevating one's spirits and move on to brighter times

Thank you again Bernadette I hope you're well and good and will read more of your poems tomorrow.
Shaun
