Today We Live

Today We Live

We are born from the oceans and the seas,
we transform into ashes, then wash back to the sea,
With clenched hands we implore for more…
More life and more time!
Tomorrow the skies turn dark,
and we rage, rage with burning eyes,
holding dearly, clinging to this thing called life,
till’ the time we go back into the ocean’s arms.
Today we rage, rage, and beseech for
more life and a little more time,
We dearly hold on,
as we are not ready yet for the waters,
Today we want the light!
