Alternate Reality

In the alternate reality that I create

I am spared this tragic fate

I dream you are still with me

We are holding each other for eternity

Why was life so cruel to us that day ?

When events conspired to take you away

Why did I have to be left on my own ?

You knew I can barely cope when alone

Your friendship and love still exists asleep

These are what my heart wishes to keep

To sustain me after all that has come to be

My dreams are an escape from this misery

One day I know I will see you once again

I will be set free from this heartache and pain

We again will experience the heaven we made 

The visions that I see before me will finally fade.
