"Conversations of the mind." By Ben Goode 2019 (c) (The dialogue of thought. Part two)

Morgan Freeman visited my troubled mind again. 
Enraged in my own thought-space. I really needed him this time.

"Where were you? Where huh? Hiding in the shadows again?
Where were you when I needed you the most huh?
I hate you so much. I hate everything about you. 
You thoughtless lowlife, self centered, miserable, soulless bastard
Some father you turned out to be." 

"Feel better now?" (Morgan smiled as he approached)

"No, I don't, how could I?"

"Well you're venting."

"I haven't finished. Oh I haven't finished, not by a long shot..."

"I know, I know you haven't. It's okay you know?"

"What's okay?"

"To be angry. To be angry with him."

"I am BEYOND that! Beyond! 
I mean there I was! Alone. 
In hospital, after an operation,that could have went pear shaped. 
He didn't care, he didn't call. 
He knew I was there. I can't forgive him for this. I can't, I won't,
he could beg, and I would let him keep begging. 
I would walk away to leave him on the ground!" 

"Yes I guess, I guess he would probably deserve it. 
Look I can't talk away, or even justify what he did, and what he didn't do. 
Nor can I make you change your feelings toward him. You've been hurt. 
But you have to understand, people in your life, friends, family.
Are all like a type of separate small fires that surround you.
But they're not all there to comfort you. Not all fire's are the same.
Not all people are. A wild fire's flame can never be tamed. 
That warmth, that care, you seek, is from the wrong fire. 
Being loved by a father you never had, is like trying to relight that wrong fire.
You know it will hurt you again. You need to throw away the flint.
The fire's that are most important are those that still surround you.
Stoke only those, and keep the home fire's burning."
