In a Dream I Dream

Oh let me be lost in a dream 
perhaps life is only a dream within a dream.
One day we shall awaken.
To find that we are young.
Still tucked in our beds.

Perchance

 to find that death was but a cruel joke perchance.
That we all live forever. 
That this life was the night mare.
That our loved ones are still with us .
That we still have our dreams 
With years left to do them.
We did not have acquaintance with regret 
Nor her evil twin mistake.
I desire a replay in a number of ways 
Since now it finally sunk in.
We only have this life to live.
That each day and hour are a treasure.
In fact way beyond measure.
