Walden pond

Walden pond

Let’s take a walk around
Walden pond and listen
To the sounds of the many
Birds the sun is shining
Let’s walk past HenryΒ
Thoreau cabin and think
About the days he lived
ThereΒ

As I walk along I hear
A purple finch and see
Ducks and geese swim
Around the pond as
They bond together
As I stop and listen
To the yellow warbler

And as I walk along
I see the flowers marsh
Marigold and the
Pink lady slipper
Oh wow how beautiful
As the crow flies by

It is spring on Walden Pond
As I walk past red maple
And the white oak and the
Highbush blueberry what
A wonderful day I say
A day on Walden Pond

Greg this captivated reader also shares Marion's thoughts on your poem as well.
For you see the real world around you.
You pause to take it in.
You put pen to paper and write how it REALLY is.
And what it can offer to all like-minded people.
You choose to write honestly from your heart.
And thank heavens for that, for all readers can take in what you see from your eyes Greg.
A wonderful poem and clearly a great place to visit and take in the views, vistas and sounds on offer.
One of your best Greg and thank you for sharing Walden pond :)
