Suicide Town

Suicide Town

Jump on board the tracks to suicide town
Leave your shoes upon the platforms edge
And anxiety will help you down

Take a stroll between the iron rails with depression by your side
And rest your soul on a sleepers edge
To ease your worried mind

It will all come to an end
As you feel a distant vibration
A deep breath in
To escape this panic station.

The rumbling heart of metal
Begins to gather pace
And the weight that is this world
Will soon begin to erase

Yet this passing seems uneventful
Just Walking in the gray
Upon endless deserted tracks
That seem to buckle and fray

No fuss nor bother from reality
No Flashing lights of blue and red
No voices screaming my name
Am I actually dead?

Hands that dip into patterns of fade
A mind no longer able to recall
Memory's of anguish and dispare
Replaced with, nothing at all

Have I become a disembodied spirt
Visible only at sundown
Left to haunt these dormant tracks
That lead to suicide town.

You have to feel it to write it... some of us feel too much, too deeply and this can be a terrible curse but on the plus... the beauty is also felt much much more deeply also. Hold onto the beauty. You are a very beautiful soul. This is a fantastic write.

I think I wanted to reach out here, to the souls who so desperately want to die, to let them know that sometimes, there are no pearly gates, no light and no love waiting, what I see and what I feel might just be my sanity slipping away but shadows, ghosts of forgotten time scream at me, walk with me and sometimes, talk to me.

Dear NineEleven,

You have written a brilliant manifesto for those who are on the brink of ending it all.  It lets them know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel which will rescue them from their inner darkness.  At this time of year, when more suicides take place than any other, your powerful poem potentially could reduce that number.

Peace and Love,
Larry xx
