Poem -

I AM BUT DUST

I AM BUT DUST

Eternal God
Like a sheep is dumb before its sheerer
I remain silent before You, O Lord
Knowing that my words would only declare my ignorance
And condemn me of the sins I have committed
Against your holy Word

I exist because of you
I depend on you for every solitary breath I take
Your grace allows me to take another step
And because of your mercy, I am not consumed
For the atrocities, I so easily commit

You are the Holy One
Full of grace and truth
The righteous judge, King of kings,
And Lord of lords, The Great I Am.

Thus, I cover my head with ashes
To declare that I am dust without value
And humbly bury my face in the dirt
From whence I came

Forgive this sinner of his trespasses
And lead me not into temptation, O Glorious One
But deliver me from the evil that surrounds me daily
And entices me to walk in darkness
Amen.

Wilford Barker.

Hello Wilford...

I heard Mel Gibson was talking about his Father's favorite verse about the fields that are clothed and the birds who are fed...

Faith can provide all of our needs?

Are we not more valuable than a Sparrow?

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...
