Slipping Away from Me

Slipping Away from Me

Time is slipping away
like sand between my fingers,
but sadness I shall not cultivate
even if it’s breaking me in two
knowing that time cannot stop
for me, or for you.
If I walk on the sandy path
of deserts and gardens
and can see an ocean ahead of me,
--the sands become a gift
from time still left on me.

Hi Bernadete.
As we get closer to the portal of forever, we feel the building pressure of the moment.
Well said.

What a gift and a blessing to have come to adult and senior year.. Think of the experiences and challenges that one has handcuffed over the years.
Battles lost motivated us. Battles won, encouraged us to press on. Life is wonderful.
Thank you B.

Life is a wonderful blessing, indeed. And it's a huge privilege to grow old.
Great to see you here and glad you're well, Wilford.
Thank you for reading and sending me your insightful thoughts.
