The Phoenix in the Sun

The Phoenix in the Sun

I have been told about
The Phoenix on top
Of the mountain so
That is where I Start my journey

As I walk up the mountain
I walked past the rivers
And the streams, stopping to
watch the birds fly in formation
passed the wildflowers as I
get closer to the clouds

Walking through the mountains
Walking in the fields seeing
Wild horses, run free watching
The deer and the antelope frolic
In the sun as I get closer
To the clouds

Walking up the mountain
Stopping by the lake
Watching the ducks and the swans
And the butterflies and the bees
As I get closer to the clouds
I can see lightning in the clouds

As a walk through the clouds
I feel something different about me
As I walk out of the clouds
Into the sun, that is where
I saw the Phoenix in the sun
His wings were big and longĀ
His eyes looked at me and he made
A sound like I never heard before
As he Flies away into the sun
He is the Phoenix of the sun.
