weren't in no chuch

I'd like to say
That god went and cheated
And I weren't about looking
I weren't in no church
I were staring through black lace
Like an old witch, accursed
Only knew it for sure
As I followed your hearse
And maybe
Some folks won't like it
Me calling god out but
The hell with pretence
I've a mind now to shout
god YOU !!!! cheated,
M ~

And when you do no one could blame you. I like the use of were instead of was. For me it sets the writer in a certain geographical area. The lines that had the greatest emotional impact on me were "I were staring through black lace like an old witch, accursed." Those lines really moved and touched me Marion. And yes you are allowed to say that. xx
Thanks so much Bernie, I truly appreciate your thoughtful comments ... hugs to you X
You are very welcome Marion. Hugs to you. X
Hello M...
You blame God and I blame the Doctors and all the money for research...
They still can't save lives...
Blame God when you're Son was an Angel...
It doesn't make much sense...
Any of it...
Not talking about you...
I'm talking about everything...
Blame who will to help you sleep better...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...

Funny the Devil never gets blamed...
The one who steals, kills, and destroys...
This is so full of emotions, Marion.
It was early morn when I was reading this. The coffee got bitter
and the birds stopped singing.
For one moment. Much love, B
Yes he did
This could have been written by my very own Mother, kudos, superb in emotion and for your courage. 🌹
