Fresh leaves

he walks fields
where the bones grow
Like ghost trees on land
stark white and risen
Fresh leaves in their hands
where the daisies make
Daisy chains
all on their own
takes two shades of madness
To be so alone
he walks fields in the midnight
When moon is a lie
is a huge hungry mouth
in a huge hungry sky
it takes two shades of terror
to be so afraid
Cos the devil sings hymns
Cos the god has a blade
takes two shades of madness
to be so alone
takes two shades of terror
To know that he's known
all along
M

The first 8 lines are absolutely amazing, then it gets very sad, then...
the last 2 lines say it all. Dear Marion......Wow!  BÂ
'it takes two shades of terrorÂ
to be so afraidÂ
Cos the devil sings hymnsÂ
Cos the god has a blade'
Something's written are designed for the reader to relate, don't you find M? The opposite of the more challenging lines of originality, that's poetry. I tried doing this more in the past than I do these daysÂ

Makes for a braver poet, because you challenge your audience running the risk of if they can follow you or not
he walks fields in the midnight
When moon is a lie
is a huge hungry mouth
in a huge hungry sky
A superb stanza and as always a superb poem. đšÂ
