FADED GLORY
You are not your own

How beautiful to the eyes was the butterfly
The wind lifted its wings
And the flowers of the garden began to sing
Who is like the butterfly in all the world
From the state of a caterpillar, he arose
No longer subdued in the dust of the ground
Effortlessly he flew across the face of the earth
Gliding through space in a spiritual dance
His colors and markings, leave all minds in a trance
He had the confidence of the eagle's heart
With the vision of an owl, he mastered the dark
Until one day his reflection was seen in a glass
Pride filled his heart and his glory faded fast
Mighty men have fallen from heavenly grace
When pride filled their hearts
Forgetting the One that had brought them
To that lofty place
Remember your redeemer and the source of your strength
It is He that sustains you
So from pride, you must repent.
