AWAKE OUT OF SLEEP

Arise, my child, from slumber’s grip
And listen to these words of mine
I’ve loved you with an everlasting love 
Before the creation of time 

Precious are the celestial beings
That worship continually at my throne
But to hear your voice call out to me
It's like the prodigal son, who returns home

I went to prepare a place for you
Where peace and happiness dwell 
And the tree of life in paradise blooms 
For the sinner who repents

There is living water in every stream
Flowing from the mountain of God
Wisdom and knowledge fill the air
As you listen to my holy word

So, arise, my child, from slumber’ gip
While the world is fast asleep 
And tell me of your heart’s desires 
For I know, the secrets that you keep.
