to keep away peasant riff raff
from smudging the marble floors
with their commoner's presence
Clearing the land and pesky native aliens
is gonna be a costly endeavor
but we manipulated taxpayers
for the cause of greed patriotism
will foot the bill gladly
under the glorious banner
of national venture capitalism

My poem was meant to be a spoof on the Great Builder's dreaming of building high end luxury beachfront hotels in Gaza after "resettling" all the natives who live there.. I realize that many presidents have renovated the White House in the past.. Heck, the building is over 200 years old and requires a great deal of maintaining to keep it habitable..In the past Presidents went through a review and approval process before altering the building which belongs to the American people.. Of course since rules and the law for that matter do not apply to this president who is gutting a section to put up a ballroom to entertain his wealthy oligarch buddies.. Not the right way to do things
