I close my eyes dreaming of a time less hard than this
I know I have to face what’s happening in front of me but
for one more second I keep my eyes closed and
dream of a time when I wasn’t responsible
when I didn’t need to know the answer but can make up my own
but that is my real anymore so I close my eyes for one more second
