Ordinary Americans
Lost their Innocence

What the Government
use to hide
from their citizens
Came crashing down
with the towers

Trust
Lost

A sense
of Security
forever forsaken
as our children
watched
in fear
on live
TV

The Memory
will never
be forgotten
Yet 
time
has brought
Complacency
back
onto
the necks
of our offspring
A sympton
that allowed
entrance
into our land
17 years ago

Have we
not learned?

There is something
to be said
for living
in the ideology
of a Libertarian
Isolation
from
getting
into  other
countries
business 
while
gaurding
like a hawk
 the 
land 
we call
home

The days of
Imperialism
should
be only
a lesson
of what
not to
do in
the School
books
Yet it is not
as greed
power
and the false
sense of
being
the "Hero"
the "World Police"
is still
seen 
as 
a 
badge
of honor
that is 
preached
by the Left
and Right
alike

Like always
though
they forget
the majortiy
which is
the
center.......................
