2001- A Nico Odyssey

Twenty years ago this very date, a Bichon pup was born;
And Fate had planned his destiny, to us he had been sworn!
Three months later, he was delivered, Kismet guiding us to his side;
The most beautiful doggie in the whole world, tears of joy that day we cried!
.
He gave us love we’d never known before, his heart as pure as gold;
Our Souls were joined forever, then our lives began unfold!
He loved to play with others, we would see on our many walks;
His tail wagging to and fro, them sharing puppy talks!
.
Three months before his second birthday, we got him a baby bro’;
From his doggy Mommies litter, they loved each other so!
The two became inseparable, where was one, the other’d always be;
The beauty of their relationship, so precious us to see!
.
For close to twelve years they were together, til Nico bade us all goodbye;
Our three hearts sadly shattered, forever would we cry!
Baby Cody stayed over two years, then joined his brother at Heaven’s Gate;
This birthday Ode is for our Nico, and Cody, his dear Soulmate!
.
.
Twenty years ago
A shining bright star was born
Bringing love to all

Our Dear Friend Greg,

It was so nice to hear from you.  Larry has taken a Sabbatical from poetry, and is now trying his hand at Romance Novels, none yet in publishable form.  Plus, our lives have been very convoluted over the last year, with many ups and downs.  Please let us know how you're doing in regards to Covid, and what's new in your life.

All our love,
Linda and Larry

Dear Greg,

So great to hear that your life is basically still the same.  We often look back to those lovely days at the Villages, and miss them dearly.

My Dear Brother Tony,

Wow!  So long since we've connected!!  I've actually laid my poetry aside, and have written six Romance stories, all dealing with love at first sight.  None of them are presentable yet for attempted publication, still sitting hand-written and unedited.  How is your life going?  We are still in Dayton, OH, having move just undertaken the backbreaking chore of our third move in the four years since getting here.  However, this time, we think we finally found the perfect place.  It's so good to hear from you, and thank you for understanding the depth of love we have for our dearly departed little Soulmates.

All our love,
Linda and Larry xxx
