2017 A YEAR TO REMEMBER

Another year has come to pass 
And now’s the time to review the last 
Did you achieve all your life’s goals?
Did you have that important conversation?
Did you bare that soul?

Where you happy with all life had to offer? 
Or did you just think why did I bother?
Did you feel that time was against you?
Or did you feel time was incomprehensible?

If you answered no to the latter 
Time to meet up and have a natter 
Get those priorities in place 
And save face 
Make those important decisions you can’t take to your grave
Put on a smiley face and be brave 
  
Make a point of being a listening ear 
Be that rock to those that you hold dear
Share in their tears 
Remove their fears 
Wipe their tears 
Fill them with cheer 

This year make all the things you didn’t do right, right 
Make 2017 your year 
Make your voice heard above all others 
Don’t let the daily grind, grind you down 
Stand up and be finally counted 
Keep those feet firmly planted 
Stay level headed and centred 
Put into practice what in your mind you had already implemented 
Don’t be self-centred 
Make 2017 a year to remember
