2am

weeping golden light,
seeping through the midnight blue sky,
restless footsteps pacing nonstop,
2am its all black and white,
3am and its all blue and gold,
finally giving in to the urge to run,
bolting through the trees,
will they ever end,
memories spinning a web of fear around my racing heart,
the hourglass weeping sand faster and faster,
soon it will be light and I will have to hide again,
paper walls around my fears,
trying to hold them back,
they shred my thin useless walls,
running for hours on end,
until the light comes back to catch me,
2am and its all black and white,
3am and its all blue and gold,
4am and the trees are covered in red,
and I am captive,
I didn't run fast enough,
I am caught by paranoia and fear, anger and hate,
Trapped in a wall of memories and lies.
