3 Little words

As these midnight tears engulf me,

the thought of you surrounds me,

and I scream at the midnight sky for reminding me of you,

I scream because the pain of missing you is to much for this abused heart to bare.

The only words my lips can form are the three most painful words someone can speak.

These three little words are tearing up my heart as well as my soul.

 The slightest reminder of you, sends me into a darkness.

The darkness only you can put me in,

but only you can take me out of.

As I mouth these three simple words,

my mind is flooded with the thought of what could have been.

I miss you.
