A beautiful barn owl 🦉

A beautiful barn owl 🦉

I am that creature I come out every night

When the stars are sparkling and the big old moon shines bright

And my foraging for food is forever my fight

With my wide wings soaring through the forest in flight..

A beautiful barn owl living in a tree

High up in a hidden hollow this is where I will be

As I hide away so clandestinely

You shall hear my shriek but you may not see me...

But will I bring you delight if you hear my call?

As I am perched upon your garden wall

I will be scrutinising the shrubbery with my eager eyeball

Ready to pounce on my prey amidst the midnight fall....
