A boy named David...

A boy named David...

There was a boy, he was known as David, his soul was lost, but was a gentle giant
He would get ignored and be called different, his mind didn't understand it
He was a victim between bad parents and the Jehovah religion
This poor boy laughed every moment, he longed acceptance

David, had a heart of gold as a child, but with all the abuse, he had to hide
He had taken ill and couldn't go back to his school
Sadly for someone vulnerable, there just wasn't room
A new education came, he had to be so brave, he helped out and thought everything was fine

David had mental health issues, he lived his life in two families and confused
He wasn't the only child to grow up in that house getting battered and bruised
This poor boy became a man, he hurt himself because he didn't want to be sad
Every story that was told, he was loved and just wanted to be one of the lads

He went from house to house, but needed the caring support
Times have changed now, so early the vulnerable are caught
He was treated as just being "David" many a child that nobody knew anything about
His heart and soul was forever innocent, I hope that he was truly found

David was a son, brother and ever loving uncle
His life lived through others that he didn't know
He should have been proud, he left something special
He gave others reason, why we should be loved
This poor man needed nurturing and loved
He just wanted love...
David is now at peace
