A Brave New World

A Brave New World

Thus begins a new year, this century a quarter of it’s years;
The first twenty-five were horrendous, the epitome of mankind’s fears!
Wars being waged and poverty, genocide and starvation numbers high;
The worst of all an epidemic, tens of millions in it die!
.
Who knows what the future holds, will peace e’er reign again?
Will global warming be thwarted, by eco-conscious women and men?
Can the venom turn to valor, braving handshakes with one’s foes?
Will the World unite in oneness, peace wherever one may go?
.
Just imagine the sheer beauty, of a World where all are friends;
Mankind has ceased it’s evil, and instituted all amends!
The poor get food, disease disappears, a great global economy;
Surely, this supersedes where we’re headed, the way things were meant to be!
.
.
Let’s forget the past
Rescue mankind from it’s depths
Rise to new zeniths

Hello Larry...

Yes if it only were that simple...

Thinking and believing All is well with our Soul?

We know we have to be real...

The Universe always balances itself...

Right?

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hi sparrowsong,

A horrid start for the change I was hoping for, thanks to monstrous men of ISIS.  We can only hope that the World will rise up against these bringers of hatred.
Thank you for your comment.
