A Child's Guardian: the Epic of Nise no Mujitsu (Verse 1: The Lonely Doll and the True Innocent)

there she sits, alone and cold
a doll of porcelain with hair of gold
truly a beautiful sight to behold
clearly with a story to be told
her eyes, they beckon all who see
as if telling them of things to be
her song is sweet
a childish voice with a lyrical beat
it sings of love, its denial and grace
with feelings of both sorrow and joy it fills the place

then, as one verse goes to the next
an event occurs, one she does expect
as an innocent child draws quickly near
wishing deeply to hear more of this song
its resonance with his heart a mile long
his eyes see hers and in a moment's time
he does what none had dared and lifts her off the dirt and grime

gently does he brush her hair
through every golden wave so fair
treating this cursed demon with the utmost care
causing her intention to change from causing his death
to his heart, repair
his parents come as he keeps her tight
closed within his young might
he takes her home, a journey quick
they play together, a joyous shtick

for hours on end they play in joy
an immaculate doll and her little boy
then as day becomes the night
the boy, he cradles her in his arms, his eyes ever so bright
as he lays down to sleep, his mind alight
with dreams of enjoying his newfound fiend
hoping the feeling shall never end

the next morning the boy awakes
with his friend still beside him, so care he takes
gently he rises, but the bed, it shakes
she falls to the ground, but nothing breaks
still he feels as though she's hurt
so he searches for a place to avert
further falls that could harm his beloved toy
this precious doll with the love of a boy
he sees a shelf up high which does seem right
thus he moves a stool so that he might
place her there, in plain sight

after his breakfast he returns
for more time with his friend his young heart yearns
as he tries to grab her from her shelf
climbing the stool he falls and hurts himself
a gash appearing on his arm
causing his young mind much alarm
but before he can even scream
it disappears, so it would seem
a brief smile on the doll is seen
as the wound is gone as if it had never been

the child happy now does rejoice
cheer consuming his pure, sweet voice
and thus again he makes the choice
to retrieve his friend from her perch up high
fortune smiling as not a thing goes awry
he lifts her from the wooden ledge
and climbs carefully down the stool's round edge
together once again they play
innocent laughter ringing all the day
as the young child enjoys his friend, and she his love
both of them, each other beloved
until with words, by his parents is he shoved
and off to bed once again he goes
the bond between them so bright it nearly glows

thus is her life for years to come
a heavenly beat on a perfect drum
her days filled with boundless joy
spent together with her cherished boy
living both the life of friend, as well as toy

WOW!! MARK!!...... this is AWESOME story-telling...... not too much.... nor too little.... giving the reader the full "lay of the land" with the Love growing between the boy and the doll..... with her having given up her devilish ways for the time being...... but you can tell something has to go wrong eventually..... you're developing these characters perfectly......TOTALLY got my curiosity going..... I'll be doing VERSE 2 next..... give me something to look forward to for the next couple of days....,you're an excellent writer Mark...... this should be a short story.... or ....as you're doing here.... an epic poem!!.... Love it bro!!...... TONS-O-STARS!!.....PINNED this  portion!!...... high five!!.....T ?✳✴☀?
