A Cry From Humanity
I'm a black man, I see people on the knee,
I drive down the road, may be stopped because it's me,
I'll be called a traitor, won't I, if I don't agree,
God made us, he 'aint gonna change our Earthly mystery.
We have to deal with these things, man-made,
can only hope that injustice and all begins to fade;
Have there been improvements? Remember we were slaves,
herded like animals and brutalised in enclaves.
Some would like a 'Star Trek scenario' - no racism,
it probably won't happen - know we're good - a truism;
a few points - don't resist arrest, we should know by now
that drugs an' all will just be our undoing anyhow.
Let's move on, we should not be fazed, future is ours,
stop trying to defeat people in their ivory towers.

Hi P,
Thanks so much -
How many times do we have to say
that we are all equal.
Love,
Terry.

I am one of those who would LOVE a Star Trek scenario. Fabulous poem, Terry. We are all people of this planet...all of us. I cannot abide racism and, sadly, it still very much exists. Great write x

Scriptures say nations ,kindred, tongues and people. We are all spirit children of a Heavenly Father "kindred" A scientist made up race trying to explain skin pigmentation. There is just all forms of pride and hate that permeates society! just my humble opinion... all the best! ...Jim
Thanks Jim -
my 'kindred' poet.

Terry.
