A DAMN FINE SKY
God got out his paintbrush
Today
I told him to...put...it...
Away
I got the picture
Sure, he popped an angel in
Here. And. There.
And boy, he can paint a damn
fine sky
Silver linings all shimmering
All those rainbows
Skipping high
It was beautiful...at...first...
Untill he painted the earth
Which was black
So were we
Just all black earth and sea
All the beauty
Top
Heavy
No paint left for me
No ladder either
