A Date With Henry

What's your star - perhaps Cancer or Capricorn,
like Henry's books - tropics before you were born;
move over Lawrence - he blew everyone away,
maybe you don't like written sex, so they say.

It's there, where is it written that anything is fair,
you'll notice, not  a word, more than u could bear;
Lawrence used dandelions tied to u know where,
how novel, not the first time mon ami, au contraire.

The world changed from Henry - less mystery,
although perhaps he was the gamekeeper actually;
read the books, not just suited to adolescent mind,
whether you like or not, one of us, the adult kind.

When I'm ready to go - lift up on elbows and call,
better to have loved than never just loved at all.​​​​​​​
