Fifteen years ago this day, you came into the World;
One of seven in a litter, three boys, and four Bichon Friese girls!
You were the leader of the whole pack, your siblings cringed in fear;
For they knew you’d gently nip them, if they let you get too near!

Your breeder we had been to, just twenty months before;
And bought our precious Nico, whom we could not love much more!
We decided he needed a brother, to keep him company;
So we came down to see your litter, when just twelve weeks old you be!

The moment that we saw you, chasing the others all around;
We knew you were the perfect puppy, for with Nico to hold your ground!
This photo from your first day, shows the love you instant felt;
Your Souls so quickly bonded, as both our hearts did melt!

You two became inseparable, for almost twelve full years;
Then our Nico had to leave us, with such never-ending tears!
For many months you mourned him, your dear Soulmate close no more;
But with the non-stop love we gave you, your happiness was restored!

Then you filled our lives with pure joy, until that fateful day;
August fifth, two thousand seventeen, the one you too sailed away!
Today you would have been fifteen, we’d have had a swank soiree;
But your candles burned out too quickly, now in our Souls you’ll ever be!
