A Different Perspective

A Different Perspective

Suffocating sound
Criticizing clamor
People desperate to yell
I'm right
You're wrong

Where is the logic?
Where is the truth?

Empty white noise
Filling the air
Angry voicesĀ
Overpower me

They never asked
'What do you think?'
Simply becauseĀ
I never asked
'Am I allowed to?'

I'm no different
I also have a voice
Why am I judged?
Simply because I'm strong?
Because I'm smart?
Because you may not agree?

Because I am a worthy opponent?
Am I not qualified?
Am I not reasonable?
Am I not truthful?

One person
Is more valuableĀ
Than a million
Who refuse to stand

Watch me
As I defy expectation
Believe that perhapsĀ
I can also prove

There is more
Than meets the eye
Perhaps there is something
Worth your attention
Worth your time

Tell me
I can speak my mind
Without fear
Tell me

You will listen
And hear
