Poem -

A Duvet Day

Go on, you deserve it,
You’ve had a stressful night,

Have a day in the duvet,

And perhaps a pillow-fight!

But if you do, be careful,

As feathers can catch your eye

And then the day will be spoiled

By the sound of a sad sigh.

Go on, you deserve it,

Wrap yourself up tight,

Smother yourself in comfort,

Like in clouds of sweet delight;

A warm, pleasant feeling

Will leave you all aglow

As you bury your busy head

In the softest white pillow.

Don’t worry about the home,

Leave the chores for another day,

No point in getting more anxious

Frayed nerves you must allay.

So, keep inside that cocoon

Of comfort, relish every minute,

Enjoy a day in the duvet

Go on, you deserve it…
