A Dystopian Euphoria.

A Dystopian Euphoria.

A dystopian euphoria shedding it's skin,
Destruction slithered among the tattered wings,
If only humanity resisted circus and bread,
For their demise was wireless and etched in the dead.

One by one I seen them all fall,
Dust settled from concrete walls,
One by one like a blanket of death,
Humanity ended, silence in breath.

Moments with kindred spirits vanish,
What cost becomes of this damage?
Mother nature or mother android,
Will there be another civilisation to fill the void?

Acid rain cleansing memories of the past,
Holy water burning the earth that didn't last,
Grey ceiling closing in from the heavens,
Angels crying, their wings are falling feathers.

One by one I seen them all fall,
Dust settled from concrete walls,
One by one like a blanket of death,
Humanity ended, silence in breath.

Layer after layer the truth became a nightmare,
A haunted reality from nature became a robotic stare,
No life, no connection, hollow energy spiralling out into the distance,
A poisoned chalice for any soul to burden gives out a deafening silence.

Visions pulsating through the last of mankind,
Screams electrifying a conditioned mind,
Oxygen becoming less whilst asking the question, why?
So the very answer is a shadowey grave but leaves a stain in time...

Why do we have to die?

One by one I see them fall in this dystopian euphoria.

Is it mother nature or mother android?
As a species do we already fill that void?
Why do we do it to ourselves?
For heaven...
Do we have to persevere hell?

Mother?
