"A feeling so fleeting" By Benjamin Goode 2013 (c)

You had the power to bring life to me again. To feel as human as I could.
And then. I wondered if you could. Just stay. Not say another word, and simply fly away.
Within the clouds of memory as quickly as you did. Left me crying like a hurting kid.
Standing and looking to the sky, and asking a God. A question unanswered. Why?
A feeling so fleeting, is lost. A love like a pebble, just tossed. Skimming across the lake.
A dead feeling inside, in its wake. Please come once again to my side. I wish that you would.
So that I may feel, as human as I should.
