A FOREST OF TREES (BORROWED TIME)

The trees in the forest were holding their breathĀ
Who would be chopped next in a unnecessary death
There they have stood for over a hundred years
Nothing now will save their anxiety and fearsĀ

How beautiful it is seeing trees standing in a row
To destoy this beautiful thing is a devasting blow
The colours they bring are a joy to beholdĀ
All their hopes and aspirations are now being sold

Mister tree feller I am begging you pleaseĀ
Have a heart dear man and save our trees
