A Friend Indeed

I’ve just been very blindsided, by a man I thought a friend;
When I offered him my visit, and there the night to spend!
His response was very shocking, “Not interested” he said;
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, my face turned angry red!

For years I’ve been his mentor, gotten comments of his praise;
Thanking me for guiding him, to where he’s at today!
So now I emulate his actions, and forever close my door;
My time with him has ended, contact me nevermore!
