A gift from a giver ❤️

A gift from a giver ❤️

Mysteries magically wrapped amidst pretty paper

Lovingly tied up with garlands of glittery ribbon taper

A brainteaser bound in a boxed shaped size

That gift from the giver, a lovely surprise

Delicately decorated with loving affection

A picture of pleasing, presented perfection

Baffling the beholder Oh what an earth can it be?

Yet without opening it up it’s impossible to see

But  the element of wonderment is so bewitchingly attractive

Such a well-chosen welcome that is so immensely effective

Though it’s a puzzlement of perplexity, a conundrum charade

A clandestine cliffhanger beautifully handmade

Mind you once one rips open the cover to reveal what is inside

That sixty-four-thousand-dollar question is lost in confide

Perhaps this secrecy stickler should be put on display

To gaze at in amazement for ever and a day

Yet the closed book thriller is such a crux of curiosity

Whilst a marvellous mystification of grand generosity

Would it be rude not to see what is reveals?

Just the kindness of sheer clemency has you head over heels

This sweetness of tenderness has seeped into your heart

Especially setting the sender so many streets apart...

I loved reading this Jill, you can’t beat that anticipation and excitement before you tear the paper to reveal the gift. If only we could bottle that feeling up ❤️ xx
