A Homage To Rural England

A Homage To Rural England

A blackbird’s sweet song
On a warm summer evening;
The scent of freshly
Cut lawns in quaint village greens;
In neat, bucolic gardens,
The pruned red roses;
The golden cornfields
Of Somerset and the rich taste
Of home brewed cider;
The feel of gentle breezes
On Lake Windermere:
O God bless rural England!
