Poem -

A HORSE'S LAST DAY

Nobody knows my secret I'm not going to lie
I have twenty four hours to live and then I will die
My life will then be over and be complete
Contemplating death isn't an easy one way street

This incurable disease has now finally run its course
The end of the road for this tired old horse
Canters, gallops, trots will be a thing of the past
Good times I will remember how I wished they would last

Goodbye to my stable the place I called home
My journey is heavenward where I will continue to roam
